Calendar of Events—October 27, 2012
11:00 am to 3:00 pm — Free Face Painting with Karen Weiss
Wanting your face painted like a cat, a monster or your favorite fantasy character for that Halloween party? Come join us as professional face painter Karen Weiss will be painting faces for your delight. Karen has been doing face painting professionally for several years and has developed her own unique style of face painting.
11:00 am to 4:00 pm — Hot Dogs & A Chili Taste Off
Make your favorite chili recipe and enter Nicholson-Hardie’s Chili Taste Off. Chili tasting will be between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm. Join us as Master Griller Michael Bracken grills hot dogs and serves up chili for your enjoyment. We will have several home-made chilies to add to your hot dogs. We will be providing refreshments.
11:00 am to 4:00 pm — Fall Harvest Bake Off
Help us put some weight on our judges. Using a main ingredient item such as pecans, walnuts, pumpkins, squash, apples or any fruits, nuts or vegetables that is harvested in the fall, bake your favorite dish and bring it in for our Fall Harvest Bake-Off. The winner will receive a $250.00 Nicholson-Hardie Gift Certificate.
11:00 am to 4:00 pm — John Deere Tractor Home-made Ice Cream
Stop by and watch as Tim Miller uses his John Deere tractor to make some unforgettable home-made ice cream. Come try this delicious frozen treat. His ice cream flavors for tasting will be traditional Vanilla, Berry-licious Strawberry, addictive Chocolate, scary-dreamy-creamy-Peach and seasonal fall harvest sensation, Pumpkin.
10:00 am to 4:00pm – Doggie Halloween Costume Contest
It’s time for your doggie(s) to get all dressed up in their finest costume & show off for our judges. Dogs may walk the parade route anytime between 10:00am to 4:00pm & have their photographs taken so our judges may pick the winners. Winners will receive a $100.00 Nicholson-Hardie Gift Certificate. Winners will be selected for Best Over-All & Most Original. Of course, Owners are more than welcome to dress up, too!
4:00 pm – Final Fall Bake-Off & Doggie Costume
Judging Our panel of Judges will do the final judging of the two (2) and will select the winners of each category and award the prizes.
